About

Hi, I'm Michael. And with me here are Mike, Scott and Justin, some of the most honest and dedicated friends and band mates a guy could have. When we got started together, we set out to do what most bands do: make it big! World tours, videos, Grammy's and ACMs, cover of Country Weekly - ya know, BIG! We just released our debut EP "Simple and True," and so far so good! We aimed to write songs that go straight to the heart, and it looks like we're doin' something right.

It was pretty evident that chemistry started happening when the four of us got together. We had different backgrounds and experiences, even playing in different genres. I'd grown up on pretty traditional rock. (Def Leppard was my favorite band as a kid.) But two things happened in the early 2000's that moved me toward country: my mom passed away (may she sing with the angels), and I started wanting music that had a little more substance. Garth Brooks had put a new spin on country, blowing the lid off country-rock; his influence seemed to reshape the genre. And I was hooked. Country would forever be top in my life.

Several years later, I met Mike Eaton, our drummer extraordinaire, at a Denny's outside of Denver. Possibly the most pleasant guy I'd ever met, Mike told me about bands he'd played with (including Lee Greenwood of "God Bless the USA" fame), his love of drumming for thousands, his endorsement deals, and his huge stockpile of equipment - stuff way beyond a drummer's needs. Hearing the guy talk, I thought for sure he was gonna turn me down. Instead, we set up an audition. And ever since, he's made me look bad by arriving 30 minutes early to every band function and blowing us away with his creativity. That bass drum that lights up at our live shows? Totally his creation. And Mike gave us Eatonisms, slightly odd phrases that just barely make sense in context. (He's laughing 'cause he knows it's true.) We post them on our Facebook page.

Only a month later, Scott Getty found us. Mike and I knew he was the perfect fit even before he'd even left his audition. His edgy rock guitar complemented my country twang like sun on a frosty morning. (Yeah, we're kinda cheesy sometimes.) Adding vocal harmonies to the mix, Scott took the band up two notches. Welcoming him into the group seemed to be the moment we started noticing that something special was happening here. Something bigger than us.

Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, it did. Scott was the one who found Justin Gomes, our dynamic and energetic bass guitarist and vocalist. With a background in rock and pop, the man came in, laid the perfect foundation for our songs, tweaked this, honed that, and made our material studio-ready. And on the seventh day, he rested.

So now you know a little about us. Of course, this is just the tip of the iceberg. The real dirt is in our blog and on Facebook. So go check 'em out!

To answer a few FAQs:

Do you write your own songs? Yes, we sure do.

How often do you guys check your Facebook page? All the time! We love checking out the comments on our page and staying in touch.

If I wanted to book you guys, how would I do that? Just shoot us a note from the Contact tab, email us (Info@Michael-Aldridge.com), or message us on Facebook.

Are you working on any new stuff? Always. Since this is a static page, the best place to find out what we're up to is...yep, you guessed it - Facebook.

Are any of you guys single? Michael, Mike and Justin are. Michael enjoys long walks, red wine and deep conversation. Justin enjoys sharing musical experiences, sports, and quality one on one time. And Mike loves riding his Harley, ice-skating and traveling. (And for those of you who just want to hang out with Scott, he enjoys snowboarding, hockey, and going on cruises with his wife.)
