About
The C.R. Ecker Band, based in Los Angeles with production to Nashville, offers a mix of traditional and contemporary county music since the launch of its "Bushwacked Song"in August, 2011. Newest release, "Whisper Sweet Nothins", sung by the wonderful Amber Rose of Nashville, follows "Your Smile Says it All," a 25th Wedding Anniversary country-recast of a Pop version presented to C.R. Ecker's new bride, in 1987.
One that is waiting in the wings for radio airplay is "Once in a While," a first-ever country recast of the 1937 Big Band classic sung by Frank Sinatra. It was covered, in 1961, as a "doo-wop" song by The Chimes. The new version is available in the U.S. only via iTunes, cdBaby and Amazon mp3.
This currently non-performing group, under the leadership of band leader and songwriter C.R. Ecker, has been named "Best Country Band from America" on Real Country Radio, Japan; "one of America's top country groups" on American Thunder Radio, broadcasting from the U.K., and a finalist, for the second year in a row, in Western Europe's The Starliners Radio Network "Artist of the Year" competition with voting currently underway. It also has been nominated for 2012 "Country Artist of the Year" at the Independent Music Network (USA).
While there is a strong emphasis on digital music sales, the group, through its publishing arm, is looking for other bands to cover songs on the playlist. And it is actively scouting film and TV prospects for placement potential!
