Donna Ray raised in a musical family growing up was an amazing experience in her life. Her Father was a musician back in the 50's having his own band called Alabama Ray and the Goat Hill Ramblers, Playing every Saturday night on KASO Radio Station in Minden Louisiana. Singing as a child gave Donna great respect for Country Music. Listening to all the old tunes like Little Blossom, Letter to Heaven and many more made her love the life of singing. Her Daddy would take out his 2 track recorder an play music and record all the songs by female singers so that they could sing along an record her vocals on tape. There were 5 daughters and he would line them up to take turns recording. Her Mother is a special writer she has written many songs and she recorded them for her on demo. Songs like Rose in the Bible, Mountain of Tears, Greenlease Story Back to the Arms of This Fool and so many more.

Donna Ray is a singer/songwriter herself. Taking a story an making a song out of it puts a real good aspect in what she loves to do. There are many songs that she have written in the past, There are many songs such as Carrying Memories and Memories of Mamo that have already been heard on numerous stations. Now signed to Stardust Records out of Nashville who has made it their mission that the rest of The World gets to know Donna Ray and her music.

Salt Lake City, UT - In April, there was awarded for the Female Vocalist of the
Year 2007 Donna Ray. She is the recipient of the award for the honor which is
presented yearly by Grat Country Radio. Michael Stevenson, founder/president of
GCR says "This is the first year that we have given this award and it goes to a
lady who has graced the independent charts with a very awesome voice."
This is the first year that GCR is giving this award and also has inducted Donna Ray
into the National Independent Artist Hall of Fame.
