I'm Wendy Risoli, I'm from Rocky Mountain House originally, I moved to San Antonio to be with my husband, Since I was three years old, I had been singing for family and friends. Once I reached elementary school, I began piano lessons, continued lessons until my family moved to Rocky, with Val Lineham. In school, I performed in choirs, drama performances. Later on, I performed with many bands, singing country. In the 1990's, I switched my genre to folk/pop, and I wrote songs, later recorded 2 of them in 1998 with Rockpile Productions. After that, I recorded a 4 song christmas cd with ARC Records both in Red Deer Alberta. I began performing for Canada Day, Ivan Daines Rodeo, other performances. The larger the audiences, the better I sang. My voice is powerful, strong, I have been well received by audiences. After moving to san antonio I joined Texas Music Coalition in 2007, performed for them. In 2008, I auditioned for Nashville Star in Austin, I made it to the Austin callbacks. When asked why I'd make the next Nashville Star, I told them: "There is no other singer, that could sing with as much heart and soul as I do." That impressed the judges. I continue to write songs, wrote 4 with songwriter Phil Flood. Recently, I"ve completed my autobiography called 49 Reasons: My Story, it's in the editing process. I've been taking care of family and friends. My mother lives in my home town, she's been sick, so I've been helping her long distance. My husband has cancer, I've been supporting him as well. I've been writing some new songs, I'm looking forward to recording another album...
