“LET IT START WITH ME” CAMPAIGN MESSAGE TO BE BUILT AROUND #98 CAR & DRIVER MICHAEL McDOWELL
(Nashville, Tennessee) – March 14, 2012 – In a unique partnership Curb Records, one of the world’s leading independent music companies, and Christian radio leader K-LOVE are joining forces to bring an inspirational message to the fast track world of NASCAR in 2012.The partnership will focus on sponsorship of the #98 K-LOVE Car – the Ford Fusion piloted by 5th year NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Michael McDowell for the Phil Parsons / Curb-Agajanian Racing team. The theme Curb is bringing to the K-LOVE Car this season will be “Let It Start With Me,” a messaging originally targeted by the recent Dove Award nominated song of the same name by Curb Records’ Christian band, No Other Name. The alliance of Curb Records and K-LOVE in sponsoring the car’s branding highlights a dedicated campaign in bringing the inspirational theme of the Gospel to NASCAR with a message designed to encourage Christians to live out the reality of Jesus Christ in their own lives as well as impacting their families and communities.
A dedicated Christian, 28 year old Michael McDowell is well known within the racing world as a winning young driver and his open declaration of faith with an inspirational track side program, Finish A Winner. McDowell took the K-LOVE car to a 30th place finish in his second Daytona 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race in February. K-LOVE is marking a third season of partnership with McDowell who is onboard to pilot the #98 K-LOVE car emblazoned with the Let It Start With Me branding for the entire 2012 Sprint Cup Season.
