Biography Nashville Radio Promotions was started in 2012 when a group of well-known independent record label owners in Nashville decided to band together. One of the biggest obstacles facing the smaller independent labels was being able to compete on a much smaller budget in their artists promotions. So they decided to pool their resources and work together. Thus Nashville Radio Promotions came to be. We are now working with 14 different artists on 6 different labels helping to promote their music to The World and that number is being added to each and every week. If you are an independent artist or record label looking for help with promoting your music to radio give us a shout. The group is headed up by Colt Records label President J. K. Aerosmith
Closes Their 26th Tour in Nashville
Last Thursday, Joe Perry tweeted “Aerosmith
is playing the last US show tonight in Nashville could
not think of better town music wise to wrap the tour.
“
And we could not agree more. Twenty
amazing songs by a powerhouse group. Aerosmith trivia
time ... see if you can find the twenty hits within the
review of the concert.
Can you recall the days when you
would be walkin' the dog with your walkman, head phones
on, listening to songs by Aerosmith? How about singing
aloud to "Dream On" and thinking you had what it takes
to sing like Steven Tyler?
Well, next to the rag doll and other
toys in the attic, or maybe beside the rats in the
cellar, Aerosmith albums from days gone by were being
dusted off and bringing back memories as the train kept
a rollin' towards Nashville; the final destination on
their Global Warming
Tour. December 13, 2012 marked the end of their
26th tour promoting their 15th studio album since the
band was established in 1971. READ MORE>>>

An
Average Joe's Muddy Christmas Album
Review
Album: An Average Joe’s Muddy
Christmas
Artist(s): Various Artists
If you are looking for something different this
holiday season to get you moving look no further than
“Average Joe’s” Muddy Christmas Album.
Average Joe’s is a Atlanta Georgia and Nashville
Based Indie label company who has definitely proven
that they can step “outside the box” and produce a
album that is unlike any other on the market.
This album feature’s a variety of hip hop “Country”
starting with Colt Ford’s “Home for Christmas”
To an outstanding rendition of “Do you hear what I
hear” by Josh Gracin, throw in former American Idol
Bo Bice rocking it out to “A Very Merry
Christmas” and a splash of “Nappy Roots” performing
“Nappy Christmas” and the finale, a quite humorous
and catchy song that I would have to say was very
well written and I could actually place myself into
the song and envision sitting on the couch singing
the lyrics to this song, “Beer with Santa.” “When I
was just a little boy we had milk and cookies for
two, Now that I am a grown up, I wanna have a beer
with you” sung by the very talented The Mauldin Brothers. READ MORE>>>

MSO Nashville Update—Fall 2012/Winter 2013
- DAVE STEWART: On the new (September 4) THE RINGMASTER GENERAL, the British singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer creates a potent and distinctive musical gumbo, mixing in rock, blues, country, rhythm & blues and psychedelia. The album was recorded and mixed by John McBride at his famedBlackbird Studio in Nashville. It features 13 new songs--including striking duets with Alison Krauss, Diane Birch and Joss Stone as well as a duet sung with and co-written by Jessie Baylin. As with his recent album THE BLACKBIRD DIARIES, STEWART is backed by some of the finest musicians in Nashville including: guitarist Tom Bukovac, drummer Chad Cromwell, bassist Michael Rhodes, steel guitarist Dan Dugmore and Mike Rojas on piano. When choosing a location to debut THE BLACKBIRD DIARIES AND THE RINGMASTER GENERAL documentary, STEWART naturally chose Nashville, where the film was shot during two, five-day recording sessions. The Wednesday, August 22 VIP premiere was held at the Belcourt Theatre. Read an interview with him at Raise The Question.
- JO DEE MESSINA: The multi-platinum, award-winning country singer/songwriter continues touring throughout 2012, including a critically-acclaimed performance atCMA Week’s Riverfront Stage, where the Nashville Tennessean said she “had a pep of a young rocker as she sprang across stage letting out sporadic laughs in the middle of lyrics and clearly enjoying her performance.” The live performances showcase MESSINA’s commanding vocal prowess which has earned her nine #1 country singles, over five million records sold, two Grammy nominations and various CMA and ACM awards throughout her 15-plus year career. Earlier this year, JO DEE began her “Fumbling Mom” blog, which has since been picked up by the Tennessean and she’s also writing a weekly “Backstage With Fumbling Mom” on Babble Voices. Check out her most recent posting here.
- JOHN FOGERTY: FOGERTY, one of rock’s most important artists and a national treasure who’s sold over 100 million records, is now back in the studio finishing his much-anticipated album Wrote a Song for Everyone. It’s a celebration of his revered songbook (classics and deep tracks) and some brand new songs to be released on Vanguard Records, his first for the label, in 2013. It will feature collaborations with Foo Fighters, Bob Seger, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, My Morning Jacket, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, Dawes and more. Visit www.johnfogerty.com for updates.
- LONESTAR: 2012 finds the multi-platinum group in the studio and on the road--with original lead singer RICHIE McDONALD back in the group. The Texas-bred band--known for merging their country roots with strong melodies and rich vocals--has amassed RIAA-certified sales in excess of 10 million album units since their national launch in 1995 and achieved 9 #1 country hits including “No News,” “Come Crying To Me” and “Amazed.” The band’s awards include a 1999 ACM Single of The Year for “Amazed” (the song also won the Song of the Year award) and the 2001 CMA Vocal Group of the Year. The group is set to release a new CD, LIFE AS WE KNOW IT, in early 2013.
- MARVIN ETZIONI: Groundbreaking singer-songwriter and record producer MARVIN ETZIONI--co-founder and a principal songwriter for the pioneering Los Angeles roots rock band Lone Justice--released his fourth solo studio album MARVIN COUNTRY! (Nine Mile Records) in 2012. The two-CD set is a diverse mix of back porch country, barroom weepers, clapboard church gospel, haunting folk and dusty blues. It features a distinguished cast of iconic guests and includes duets with Lucinda Williams, Maria McKee, Steve Earle, Richard Thompson, Buddy Miller, John Doe and The Dixie Hummingbirds.
- TRUTH & SALVAGE CO.: The acclaimed band continues to tour and gave a triumphant return performance at STAGECOACH in 2011, with the USA Today saying they “proved to be a group with great crossover potential. The band fit into the neo-folk category of the Avett Brothers and Mumford & Sons with tight four-part harmonies, but rock with distinctive personality and solid guitar and keyboard work (5/1/11).” Read an interview with them at Raise The Question.
- WYNONNA JUDD: The iconic country singer is touring throughout 2012 and recording her eighth studio album to be released in 2013. It will be the latest in a string of hit albums that started with her quintuple platinum 1992 solo debut, Wynonna. That set spawned four number one hits and was the bestselling country album ever by a female artist at that time. In 1994, WYNONNA received the coveted Top Female Vocalist of the Year trophy at the ACM Awards, and Rolling Stonecalled her "the greatest female country singer since Patsy Cline." She’s currently on the road and will embark on her “Rockin’ Christmas Tour” in earlyDecember. Read an interview with her at Raise The Question.
- 2012 ANNUAL SOURCE AWARDS: The 10th annual celebration honoring women executives in the music industry for their tireless work and contributions to the business took place August 23, 2012.
