CMT announced yesterday that Hayes will be featured in the upcoming new episode of CMT CROSSROADS: JOE WALSH & FRIENDS, starring the Rock great/guitarist Joe Wash from The Eagles, accompanied by Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Sara Evans, Luke Bryan and Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top.  The artists will pay homage to Walsh, performing his hits and Eagle’s classics, including “Life’s Been Good to Me,” “In The City” and more. The show premieres on Saturday, June 23rd at 11 PM ET.

Hunter Hayes, the multi-talented writer, musician, producer, and performer, is the only country artist to play every instrument, write/co-write every song, and co-produce his critically acclaimed self-titled debut album.  As the 2012 ACM New Artist of the Year nominee, Hunter has been touring and performing live for decades, currently selling out venues across the US and Canada on his MOST WANTED headline tour.  The Louisiana native has also shared the stage with Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Trace Adkins, Brad Paisley, and Hank Williams, Jr. He recently announced plans to tour with Carrie Underwood this fall on her 2012 "Blown Away" tour. This multi-instrumentalist continues to garner praise from fans and critics alike as he made his world-premiere national television debut on CBS’ Late Show with David Letterman  and also performed with The Roots on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon  and on Good Morning America.  His current hit "Wanted" is quickly climbing the radio charts and holds the unprecedented #1 slot for three weeks in a row on GAC's Top 20 Countdown.

LARRY’S COUNTRY DINER PREPARES FOR 100TH EPISODE

By My Country Space
“TASTY” TELEVISION LINE UP FOR JUNE
AS “LARRY’S COUNTRY DINER” PREPARES FOR 100th EPISODE

Lip-Smackin’, Toe-Tappin’ Spontaneous Good Times at
One of RFD’s Top-Rated Shows

John Berry
Barbara Fairchild
Bobby Bare
The Oak Ridge Boys

All photos courtesy of Phil Johnson © 2012

Nashville, TN (May 29, 2012)– There may only be eighteen tables at “Larry’s Country Diner,” but it serves 1.4 million people each and every month as one of the top-rated shows on the RFD-TV network. The diner is not your ordinary restaurant, but rather a unique down-home variety show that in just over two short years has become a favorite “eatery” of country fans everywhere. Cornbread and black-eyed peas only complement the heapin’ helpin’ of country music performances served up by the stars of yesterday and today.  As the show prepares to produce its 100th  episode, the show continues to amass fans and garner attention (with recent articles in Billboard magazine, American Profile and even a tweet from new fan and TV personality, Drew Carey) -- proving that America is “hungry” for this type of programming.  PFI (America’s Western Store), Crosley Radio (vintage-style radio and jukebox manufacturer) and Col. Littleton (purveyor of fine accouterments in the American Tradition) are on-going sponsors of the show. For more information on “Larry’s Country Diner,” please visit larryscountrydiner.com.

A new episode of "Larry’s Country Diner" will air each week in June on the RFD-TV network.  June’s menu of stars is a “tasty” classic line up for country music fans:

Week of:
June 7:            John Berry
June 14:          Barbara Fairchild
June 21:          Bobby Bare
June 28:          The Oak Ridge Boys

All Schedules Subject to Change without Notice

Air times for “Larry’s Country Diner” are Thursday night at 7 PM CST / 8 PM EST, Friday morning at 9 AM CST/10 AM EST, or Saturday evening at 10 PM CST / 11 PM EST.

Taped bi-monthly in front of a live studio/diner audience at NorthStar Studios (3201 Dickerson Pike, Nashville), the show’s spontaneity is part of the mystique of “Larry’s Country Diner” which contributes greatly to its success.  “The prevailing attitude at the diner is ‘…the cameras are always rollin’… and we don’t care,’” explains Larry Black, host and creator of “Larry’s Country Diner.”

The fact that plates are dropped or broken during a performance, a rack of knives and forks are dumped on the floor or that some of the lights go out while they were filming makes the show all that more exciting in a day where even reality shows are produced within strict script guidelines.  “It’s the kind of television you just don’t see too much anymore and both the artists and fans love it,” states Black who adds, “We even tell our artists that once the tape starts rolling, it does not stop.  If you get yourself in trouble, get yourself out ‘cause we’re not stoppin’.”

Because of its popularity, getting a seat to see a live taping might prove more difficult than getting a reservation at one of L.A.’s most trendy posh restaurants—the first available table is not available until 2013, so you’ll want to plan way in advance.  For reservations, please call615-673-2846 or email paula@gabrielcommunications.com.

ABOUT LARRY’S COUNTRY DINER:
Larry’s Country Diner is a unique down-home variety show which integrates entertainment, interviews and music in a weekly format, taped LIVE in front of a studio audience in a country diner setting.  The show features regular characters including Black, Keith Bilbrey, Sheriff Jimmy Capps, waitress Renae and avid church lady Nadine, along with special guest appearances by country music artists of yesterday and today.  Since its initial airing on August 3, 2009, Larry’s Country Diner has produced nearly 100 episodes and has become one of the most popular shows on RFD-TV, garnering 1.4 million viewers monthly.  For more information, please visitwww.larryscountrydiner.com.

Larry’s Country Diner is another product of Gabriel Communications, started in 1996. Owned and operated by long-time disc jockey, Larry Black, the company specializes in “Reunion Videos.” The success of this series spurred the creation of more than a dozen more projects featuring hundreds of songs and stories as well as Country’s Family Reunion News, a monthly newspaper which highlights the music of yesteryear.  For more information on Country Family Reunion products, please visit:  www.cfrvideos.com.

DAVE STEWART To Debut "The Blackbird Diaries And The Ringmaster General" Documentary August 22 At Nashville’s Belcourt

By My Country Space

FILM CAPTURES 10 MAGICAL DAYS IN NASHVILLE

DURING THE RECORDING OF STEWART’S

2011 ‘THE BLACKBIRD DIARIES’ ALBUM AND

THE UPCOMING ALBUM ‘THE RINGMASTER GENERAL’

DUE OUT SEPTEMBER 4 IN U.S. AND SEPTEMBER 3 IN EUROPE

When choosing a location to debut his THE BLACKBIRD DIARIES AND THE RINGMASTER GENERAL documentary, the British singer, songwriter and guitarist DAVE STEWART naturally chose Nashville, where the film was shot during two, five-day recording sessions at John and Martina McBride’s Blackbird Studios.  The Wednesday, August 22 VIP premiere will be held at the Belcourt Theatre, with a limited number of general admission tickets to be made available to the public. They go on sale this Friday, June 1: www.belcourt.org.  Each ticket includes a free limited edition vinyl copy of STEWART’s forthcoming album THE RINGMASTER GENERAL, which is set for release September 4 in the U.S. and September 3 in Europe.

THE BLACKBIRD DIARIES AND THE RINGMASTER GENERAL captures STEWART through the whirlwind recording process of two explosive albums, the acclaimed 2011 release, The Blackbird Diaries, and the upcoming The Ringmaster General (Weapons of Mass Entertainment/Surfdog).  This tongue-in-cheek documentary follows STEWART’s adventures in songwriting, letting the viewer witness his eccentric but compelling methods of creativity.  The days were filled with mayhem and martinis, while a circus of characters cross STEWART’s path; many muses appear to join in the fun including Alison Krauss, Martina McBride, Colbie Caillat, The Secret Sisters, Joss Stone, Stevie Nicks, Jessie Baylin, Diane Birch and Orianthi.

The road that led to THE BLACKBIRD DIARIES AND THE RINGMASTER GENERAL begins in London with the eruption of Iceland’s Eyjafjallajokull volcano. DAVE STEWART was grounded there with no hope of getting home to Los Angeles.   A wander down Denmark Street leads him to a vintage guitar shop where an old acoustic guitar catches DAVE’s eye. Learning the previous owner was an eccentric country and western star named Red River Dave, STEWART gets inspired. The next morning a flight opens up, by way of Nashville, and STEWART jumps at the chance to investigate the music city. Magically Big Kenny (Big and Rich) leads the way into adventure with the documentary capturing a unique moment in time where the music business is locked out and the lunatics take over the asylum.

A preview of THE BLACKBIRD DIARIES AND THE RINGMASTER GENERAL can be viewed here:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5O_Hn5lhBQ.

On the upcoming THE RINGMASTER GENERAL, STEWART creates a potent and distinctive musical gumbo, mixing in rock, blues, country, rhythm & blues and psychedelia.  His songs are alternately moving and wry; they are filled with twists and turns–both musical and lyrical–that constantly surprise with repeated listens. STEWART’s voice has an alluringly mysterious quality that guides the listener through these stories of, explains the ringmaster himself, “love, discovery, and …”

The album was recorded and mixed by John McBride at his famed Blackbird Studio in Nashville. It features 13 new songs--including striking duets with Alison Krauss, Diane Birch and Joss Stone as well as a duet sung with and co-written by Jessie Baylin.  The blistering guitar skills of Orianthiare featured as well.  As with his recent album, The Blackbird Diaries, STEWART is backed by some of the finest musicians in Nashville including: guitarist Tom Bukovac, drummer Chad Cromwell, bassist Michael Rhodes, steel guitarist Dan Dugmore and Mike Rojas on piano.

USA Today’s Edna Gundersen hailed the British singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer’s The Blackbird Diaries as "a warm and nostalgic valentine to American roots music" (8/22/2011), while Rolling Stone’s Anthony DeCurtis said the album “offers a rawer portrait of Dave Stewart--the producer, former Eurthymic and current member of Superheavy, with Mick Jagger--than you're likely ever to have heard. The nasty, lurching guitar that announces ‘So Long Ago,’ the album's opener, is the tip-off. The song name-checks blues greats Junior Kimbrough, R.L. Burnside and Mississippi John Hurt, and signals the roots rock-arama that follows” (9/14/2011).  For more quotes about the album, go here: http://theblackbirddiaries.com/.

In other news, STEWART hit the road to open three shows for Sugarland in April and will do the same honors for as many shows in August (see dates below).

He’s the musician’s musician.” – Rolling Stone
