Tim Dugger set to perform at Talladega Superspeedway & Prelude to the Dream

By My Country Space
TALLADEGA, Ala. – (April 30, 2012) – Curb recording artist Tim Dugger (@Tim_Dugger) has been chosen to sing the national anthem at this year’s “Prelude to the Dream” on Wednesday, June 6 at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. The all-star dirt Late Model race will feature more than 25 world renowned drivers as they battle for dirt supremacy on the half-mile clay oval track.

“I’m honored to be chosen to sing the national anthem again at this event,” said Dugger, who sang the national anthem for the 2010 Prelude to the Dream. “This is an opportunity for the stars and fans of kinds of motorsports to come together to raise money for this wonderful cause.”

Dugger’s racing connections run deep. Touring clubs along the NASCAR circuit for years, he has amassed a loyal following of race fans, drivers, and crew chiefs – even his video for “Sunday Drive” features 2010 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion Austin Dillon of Richard Childress Racing.
Dugger has also been added to the lineup for the May 5 Aaron’s Dream Weekend infield concert at Talladega Superspeedway, along with Rodney Atkins.

“Bringing in a talented and down-to-earth singer-songwriter like Tim Dugger to open up for an award-winning country star like Rodney Atkins gives the Aaron’s Dream Weekend a high-powered concert you’d pay big money to see anywhere else,” said Talladega Superspeedway Chairman Grant Lynch. “The loyal fans of Talladega Superspeedway and NASCAR deserve to be entertained in the biggest way, and we feel like we’ve done that this year.”

Dugger will play from 7-8 p.m. CDT on Saturday, May 5, and will be followed by Rodney Atkins at 8:30 p.m.  Entry into the infield concert requires either a race ticket for the May 6 Aaron’s 499 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race or infield admission. Both can be purchased at www.talladegasuperspeedway.com or 1-877-Go2-DEGA.

Dugger says he writes music that “almost all can relate to,” as evidenced by his latest single, “Way Past My Beer Time” and his upcoming single, “God For A Day” both of which are now available on iTunes. For more information regarding Dugger, please visit www.timdugger.com

New Single “So Called Life” Shipped to Radio

Nashville, TN (April 23, 2012) --Montgomery Gentry’s music video for their Top 10 radio smash, “Where I Come From,” has been nominated in the “Duo of the Year” category for the upcoming 2012 CMT Music Awards. Voting begins today, April 23, on CMT.com.

The powerful music video, shot from a deployed soldier’s viewpoint, is one of the most intense, influential videos ever done by the duo and they are proud the video has been recognized by their peers. “This is awesome! This song has had a lot of meaning to me
T-Roy and it is an honor to be nominated,” says Eddie Montgomery. “We're just so proud of all of our military heroes and this was a way of paying tribute.”

Troy Gentry adds, “Its always exciting when something you are extremely proud of is recognized by peers and friends. We are so thankful for the amazing response this song has received. Eddie and I have always sang songs that are close to our hearts and this nomination for such a powerful video makes us proud.”

Directed by Potsy Ponciroli and produced by Chris Conner from Team Genius Productions, the video was shot in a California desert and a rock quarry in Nashville, TN.  Working closely with the video treatment, Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry wanted to honor the troops and the towns “where they come from.”  The video opens with a battlefield scene with a wounded soldier laying on the ground.  While his fellow soldiers try to rescue him, he is having flashbacks and memories of his beloved hometown.

The 2012 CMT Music Awards will air LIVE from Nashville on Wednesday, June 6 on CMT and CMT.com. Fans can vote online at CMT.com, and on their mobile device at CMT Mobile or the CMT Insider app available on iPhone, iPad and Android now through June 4 to determine the winners.
