Taped bi-monthly in front of a live studio/diner audience
Dickerson Pike, Nashville), the show’s spontaneity is
part of the mystique of “Larry’s Country Diner” which contributes greatly
to its success. “The prevailing attitude at the diner is
‘…the cameras are always rollin’… and we don’t care,’” explains
Larry Black, host and creator of “Larry’s Country
The fact that plates are dropped or broken during a performance, a rack of knives and forks are dumped on the floor or that some of the lights go out while they were filming makes the show all that more exciting in a day where even reality shows are produced within strict script guidelines. “It’s the kind of television you just don’t see too much anymore and both the artists and fans love it,” states Black who adds, “We even tell our artists that once the tape starts rolling, it does not stop. If you get yourself in trouble, get yourself out ‘cause we’re not stoppin’.”
Because of its popularity, getting a seat to see a live taping might prove more difficult than getting a reservation at one of L.A.’s most trendy posh restaurants—the first tables available are currently for the June 2012 taping, so you’ll want to plan way in advance. For reservations, please call 615-673-2846 or email@example.com.

Subject: Michigan Musicians Wanted: Play Michigan's Historic Theaters, Meet Michigan's Movie Industry
(http://api.ning.com:80/files/npKAvuScdVo*Uc4*NKoa0Ab-42MlkX976TXDT0PoCHyub8VxCN7*aPxAxGqFjrItULHMEQLsbJMQnQ8G2DzvB15hWdD61S75/MichiganTheaterJackson.jpg)As we enter a new year, as musicians many of us are looking for a genuine opportunity to play and perform our music. Here is a big one.
Email: firstname.lastname@example.org (http://email@example.com)
Before the 1930s and the advent of what has come to be called the "talkies", opulently decorated vaudeville and movie theaters were built. Predating the earliest sound systems they were created to be acoustically perfect. Every small town had one. Michigan at one time had many from its south western most border to Detroit and points north. Today many of these theaters still stand, painstakingly restored and faithfully tended. Now as a musician you can play many of these theaters and stand where the earliest stars of stage and screen stood.
The promoters of south central Michigan's newest film and music festival are looking for select Michigan bands and spoken word performers to play these venues. Those chosen will have the opportunity to play at the first ever Jaxon Film and Music Fest.
They want to hear from as many performers as interested in such an opportunity. These performers will be chosen from a fifty mile radius of each of these theaters. Performers will be chosen based on merit and musicians chosen from each genre will be billed to play with others to comprise a show. The promoters will be inviting people from the movie industry, both students and professionals to these events to introduce them to Michigan musicians at meet and greets which will follow each evening's performance . These events will also, of course, be open to the general public.
What genres are being accepted? The Jaxon Film Festival’s promoters are looking for Michigan performers in these various genres: A Capella, Acoustic, Americana, Bluegrass, Blues, Comedy, Country, Folk, Funk, Gospel, Jam Band, Jazz, Non Music Performer, Reggae, Rock, Soul, Spoken Word, and World musics.
As Michigan has a wealth of faithfully restored theaters from across the state. These events will be staged at many of them and depending upon the draw of each, these events may be held at each theater more than once. This means increased opportunity for selected performers.

“We fell in love with Joey and Rory when they were musical guests on ‘Larry’s Country Diner,’ and‘Country’s Family Reunion’” said Larry Black, producer of both shows. “They are such a sweet couple - so engaging and so warm. When they came up with the idea to do a television special surrounding their new Christmas album, I said, ‘if you can pull it off, we’ll do it.’ The show they came up with smacks of the old and resonates with the new.”
Taped in their 1870s farm house and spacious barn in Pottsville, Tennessee, Joey+Rory mixed songs from their A Farmhouse Christmas cd with light-hearted conversation about Christmas memories, favorite gifts, cooking and more. They performed all of the songs with their band in front of a set that they built in their barn. "It was decked out like a winter wonderland", wife of the duo, Joey Martin added. "We’re thrilled at how it turned out, and we’re anxious for everyone to see it. Funny thing is, we don't even have a television, so we'll have to go visit someone and catch it one these nights!” laughs Rory Feek.
The television show is sponsored by Roper Western Apparel & Footwear. For more information on Joey+Rory, please visit www.Joey+Rory.com.

“Long-standing Tradition of Caricatures Celebrates Impressive Patron Family”
Nashville, TN (December 19, 2011) – “Welcome to The Palm family!” said an enthusiastic Rae Krenn, Manager of The Palm Nashville (140 5th Avenue South) as she unveiled the likeness of Sarah Darling, Black River Entertainmentrecording artist on Friday. Darling was honored as the most recent addition to the images forever immortalized among the dining room’s panorama of classic cartoons and caricatures of local regulars, business people, politicians and celebrities that comprise the impressive customer base. This long-standing tradition began at The Palm’s original New York location. Instead of artists “singing for their supper,” artists paid their tab by painting an original portrait on the wall. The proximity of New York’s cartoon syndicate offices led to the proliferation of colorful caricatures found at every Palm location.
“The Palm is such a staple in Nashville! I'm truly honored to have my picture in the mix with all the greats on the wall,” exclaimed Darling “I’m truly excited!”
With the addition of Darlings’s image to the dining room of The Palm, it is apparent that this talented newcomer is steadily becoming an integral part of the tapestry of Music City. Her recently released “O Holy Night,”the first-ever video shot inside the stunning Laura Turner Concert Hall of Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center, was promptly adopted as Music City’s “Official Holiday Song” and on the heels of being tapped to perform for the upcoming Music City Bowl on December 30.
