Robbie Carrico

Robbie is proof that lightning can strike twice. Robbie has a musical history dating back to the 1990's. Born in Beckley, West Virginia, his family moved to Melbourne, Florida in August of 1990. 
Robbie started to pursue his musical career as a teenager. First he rose to stardom as a young pop phenom. He joined a renowned pop group called Boyz N' Girlz United, at the tender age of 15. As a recording star with the group they toured with Britney Spears during her "Baby One More Time" tour. The group's release "Messed Around" written and produced by JC Chasez of N-SYNC gained considerable notoriety on the pop charts. Short lived, Robbie used the band’s breakup to transition from pop to rock and roll... 
Living the rock star life, which included sleeping in a van and lugging gear from town to town, Robbie toiled in the underground music scene while learning the rigors of rock and roll and finding a sound that was all his own... 
At the time of the American Idol auditions in Miami, Florida, Robbie agreed to audition if, for nothing else, the experience of it. After the show had auditioned over 104,000 contestants, Robbie stood as one of only 24 final contestants who would later make it to the shows live broadcasts... 
Released from the show at number sixteen, Robbie immediately began working on his budding solo career which has included working with, among others, Kyle Cook, from the Grammy award winning group, Matchbox 20 and the Grammy nominated singer/songwriter, JR Richards (from the group, Dishwalla). 
Currently Robbie has reinvented his style and sound, and has returned to his home grown roots, Robbie has gone Country! 
Signing on with I H S Productions Inc., under the Indie label Al-Kombas, Robbie latest CD is a Country inspired project, titled 
“Take The Hard Way” released in April of 2011. Robbie's manager at I H S, David McDowell personally oversees his budding career. 
The title track on the album, "Take The Hard Way" has already gained acclaim in Nashville, with the Nashville Radio Broadcast 


Network placing the song in its top ten plays for eight consecutive weeks. Robbie is a step away from making another splash on the music scene... lightning can and will strike again !
