ole Wins Two SESAC Awards
ole Wins Two SESAC Awards For Liz Rose/Taylor Swift Hits Nashville, TN: ole is proud to be the recipient of two SESAC Nashville Music Awards for the chart-topping Taylor Swift hits "Picture To Burn" and "Teardrops On My Guitar." Co-written with Swift by 2007 SESAC Songwriter of the Year Liz Rose, ole was awarded a Country Performance Activity Award for "Picture To Burn" and a Recurrent Country Performance Activity Award for "Teardrops On My Guitar." "Teardrops" was also named BMI Country Song of the Year at the 2008 BMI Country Awards. The Liz Rose publishing share of both Swift hits was recently purchased by ole as part of the Jody Williams Music catalogue. Rose co-wrote four songs on Fearless, which topped both The Billboard 200 and Top Country Albums charts this past week with U.S. sales of 597,000 copies. Three of Rose's four contributions are published by ole through their recent purchase of the Jody Williams Music catalogue: "Fearless" (co-written with Taylor Swift and Hillary Lindsey); "Tell Me Why" and "White Horse," (both co-written with Swift). Over 18 million fans of the hit ABC series Grey's Anatomy recently enjoyed an advance preview of "White Horse" when the song debuted on the show's fifth season premiere on September 25, 2008. Taylor Swift's Fearless success comes hot on the heels of her 2006 self-titled debut Big Machine album - which featured seven ole-published Rose co-writes, including the chart-topping hits "Tim McGraw," "Picture To Burn" and "Teardrops On My Guitar" - has sold more almost 4 million copies in the U.S. alone and topped the Billboard Top Country Albums chart for 25 weeks earlier this year. Rose also contributed material to Swift's million-selling, chart-topping Beautiful Eyes EP released earlier this year. Originally from Irving, Texas, Rose has called Franklin, Tennessee home for the past 15 years, shifting from song plugger to songwriter when she joined Jody Williams Music Publishing several years ago. Swift was an aspiring 14-year-old recording artist when Rose began their collaboration. Since then, Rose's songs have been covered by Tim McGraw, Trisha Yearwood, Bonnie Raitt, Terri Clark, Lee Ann Womack and Billy Gilman. Rose also co-wrote the Top 20 Gary Allan hit "Songs About Rain" and is currently climbing the charts with the ole-published Jewel single "Till It Feels Like Cheating." ole is proud to be associated with a songwriter like Liz Rose and great songs like BMI Country Song of the Year "Teardrops On My Guitar, "White Horse," and "Picture To Burn." www.majorlyindie.com

Martina Mcbride's Christmas Duet With Elvis
Martina McBride steps back in time in the new video for her "Blue Christmas" duet with Elvis Presley. McBride basically walks onto the stage of Elvis' 1968 "comeback" TV special. The video's producer tells USA Today that there's a spot between guitarist Scotty Moore and Elvis that's open, "like somebody should have been sitting there." So they figured out a way to put McBride in that spot. They also scoured the footage and picked shots of Elvis throughout the special to make it look like they are interacting. There are shots where Elvis and McBride share the frame, where he looks over at her, and she looks back at him, singing and smiling. McBride filmed her parts in front of a green screen, and it took four weeks to piece together.

Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc.® To Present Fourth Study of Radio P1 Listeners at CRS-40 Edison Research to Conduct "Largest Study Ever of Country P1 Listeners 2009" (Nashville, TN - Nov. 17, 2008) Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc.® will present findings from "The Largest Study Ever of Country P1 Listeners 2009" at the 40th anniversary of Country Radio Seminar®, held March 4 - 6, 2009. "In these times of 'change,' it is an opportune moment to see what has changed in the world of Country Radio listeners," said President of Edison Media Research Larry Rosin. "We are thrilled to be reprising this ongoing research and to find out what's on the mind of Country Radio's most important users, the P1s, at the beginning of 2009." This is the fourth year an extensive P1 study will be conducted by Edison Media Research and presented at CRS. The last study, conducted in 2007, surveyed more than 20,000 country music fans across the country to determine trends in the format and listenership patterns across various demographics. Among other results, it was determined that 83 percent of respondents were listening to more Country on the radio than they were the previous year in 2006. "In these economically challenging times, I am glad that Country Radio Broadcasters is able to fund research that benefits the Country Radio and Music industries and make it available to all without cost," said CRB Executive Director Ed Salamon. The details of this year's updated survey have yet to be released, though Rosin notes that past country radio listener studies have focused on a broad variety interests, including radio, media, technology, and artist profiles. "Edison Research looks forward to helping make CRS-40's landmark 40th anniversary a success by providing attendees information they can use to run their stations," Rosin continued. The Research Presentation will be held Friday, March 6, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. in the Nashville Convention Center as part of CRS-40. Visit www.CRB.org for a detailed CRS-40 agenda.
