View AllMORE ABOUT ME
Hi all!
I'm a 22-year-old country singer/songwriter from central PA. I was raised on country music...nothing puts me in a better mood than listening to some old classic or outlaw country music or some great 1950s rockabilly tunes.
Johnny Cash is my biggest inspiration, and also the subject of the very first song I fully wrote and recorded in the summer of 2006. The song's called "They Called Him Cash" and I would be so grateful to you if you would give it a listen:) The second song is another song I wrote and recorded in 2006 called "Crash and Burn." It's a very personal song to me, as it's about one of my family members, who showed me that you can "Crash and Burn" but still come through with "lessons learned."
I've had the opportunity to perform all kinds of genres of music, including Broadway, gospel, jazz and blues, pop, and more. I've done showtunes in musicals and recorded rock demos for original rock bands, but my heart has always been in country music.
Nothing makes me happier than being on stage and I've had the thrilling privilege of spending a lot of time in front of audiences since I started singing at the age of 11. Since making my first trip to Nashville in 2007, I've gotten to perform in numerous venues in Nashville, TN, including: Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, Robert’s Western World, Legends Corner, Nashville Palace, The Wheel, and John A’s.
I'm big into performing for charity-type events. I've performed for Youth Outreach programs, Toys for Tots, and sung the National Anthem for various sporting events and performed patriotic songs for visiting dignitaries. I'm also a big supporter of Relay for Life, because, like most of us, I've lost loved ones to cancer myself.
I've had the opportunity to perform live on stage with musicians from the Grand Ole Opry and musicians who play for stars such as George Jones and Connie Smith. I've performed with several local bands around Central, Pa and spent two years singing classic country and rockabilly music with The Country Outlaws all over the PA area. I had an absolute blast doing it, too!
Currently, I'm working on more original songs and getting ready to record my first full-length album!! I'm so excited for it & can't wait for you to hear the finished result. =) I hope you'll give my songs a listen and if you like what you hear, I'd love to hear from you!
Always...
Angela
