We, The Glass Poets Lyricists Song Writing team are, Douglas W. White(founder) of Rancho Cordova, California, Michael A. Bradshaw (co founder) of Slocomb, Alabama and Barbara (Bessie Girl) Adkins of Gainsville, Florida. Our unique story is that we have NEVER MET in person. Yet in the course of under one year we have become family. We base our relationship on first our firm faith in our Lord and his son, our saviour Jesus Christ. Honesty, trust, respect and the utmost integrity is how we live our lives. We hold firm a promise that we made to each other at the begining, to remain true to who we are and our families.
We DO NOT consider ourselves as ENTERTAINERS but instead STORYTELLERS. Most of our material is written via phone conversations, emails etc. We play all of the instruments on our material with Michael being the musical talent behind the group. He sings 99% of the vocals, lead guitar, rhythm, drums, piano and lyrics. Douglas plays rhythm guitar and lyrics but handles the administration end of the group. Promotion, Public relations, finances and legal protection. Barbara is a writing lyrics genious and also handles the administration part. Together, with every song they create, is a piece of all of them. Due to tough economy and the geography between us, we have never been in a studio. We use our home Pc recording programs such as Tascam, Majixs, Mixcraft and Adobe in the finals stages to clean up the material as best as we can. We are learning more and more with each new song we self produce.
We have been blessed with having been signed to a recording contract with Tate Music Group (TMG) for several of our contemporary Christian songs. And are looking forward to our first Cd with them in the upcoming months. However in the meantime we have self released 3 Cd's. Ist: Spirits Of Adventure 03/01/09, This Is Me Lord - The Glass Poets 08/01/09 and our latest Stories Of Today & Gone Yesterdays 09/01/09.
We all share the same passion of writing original lyrics and putting them to original musical compositions. Our goal is to have our music land in the right hands in the music industry so as we may sell our work. We cover many different genres in our writings. However if this is not to happen, than so be it and it wasn't meant to be. It will not sway or detour us from doing what we love to do.
