About Me......and my music

www.candycemusic.com

Born on rural Long Island/NY and raised on a mini ranch with a half dozen horses, Country life and Country music was branded in Candyce’s soul.

Candyce’s talent & passion comes from her Dad’s side. Grandma sang in choir groups and performed at Radio City Music Hall. Candyce's grandparents lived with the family. As a small child, Grandma would entertain Candyce by playing the piano and singing songs together.

Dad’s passion for Country Music exposed Candyce to Traditional, Bluegrass & Contemporary Country music. As a toddler, Candyce swayed to the tunes of Merle Haggard, George Jones, Patsy Cline, Reba McEntire, Patty Loveless, George Strait and countless other artists. Country music was always playing no matter what chore you had to do.

Throughout school, Candyce was known as the “Girl with the Voice”. Candyce sang in chorus, plays and talent shows. In her senior year, Candyce was voted “Most Musical” and cut two CD’s of her own. The popularity of those CD’s led to her performing for private parties & local venues.

It must be true about the six degrees of separation. A Nashville producer, in search of new talent, heard about Candyce from a mutual connection. The producer offered her an opportunity to compete in a talent search for a demo deal. After reviewing 3,000 submissions, Candyce’s unique voice, style, range, youth and beauty set her apart from the competition. Candyce was invited to come to Nashville to cut some demos.

Her family is of modest means, but with the strongest belief in their daughter's God-given talent, the family has put up all they have to produce her music and help Candyce become Country Music's Newest Rising Star.

Thanks for adding me and the comments on my page.  I checked out your website and signed up for street team if you ever come to the Los Angeles/Riverside county area.  I also got a download of your song "I should have known better" which me and my wife absolutely love.  I hope you don't mind if I put it in the playlist with my other songs in rotation for the station airtime.

Keep up the great work and best of luck in 2010!
